You are sooo right about Pynchon and the law. I'm not the legal scholar but I 
know of no other nonlegal author who has had an entire symposium on his/her 
work in a law review. It is a real first. Your message in a list has made me 
realize a little more better the nature of this TRP dude. Since such 
"recognition" is usually reserved for dead artists (a prophet is without 
honor, etc., etc.) are we sure the boy hasn't kicked the beckett-er, bucket a 
la Jimmy D. in "It's a Wild, Wild,...World"?
But, I digress.... Time to the stove to go-another Sunday of fine wine and 
duck gumbo. You poor Yankees.
