There was a particularly nasty usage I remember from a novel ("Looking for
Mr. Goodbar" maybe). The guy (homocidal maniac I think it turned out) who
picks up the heroine in the bar won't take her to his home on the grounds
that he doesn't shit where he lives.

Another:
I think I'll go to the A and P and you can go to the Y and shit.
A friend told me that her grandmother used to say this. I
get the A and P part but the rest slightly escapes me. Also it may be too
literal--the thread properly pertains to more figurative usages.
