No, not at all, only that it's a better comparison than *Dune*, which was
offered. I guess I'd cite Milo Minderbinder vs "the cartel" as one major
contrast. Where Heller personifies and allegorises, Pynchon is much more
historically rigorous in the way he "deals with it".

Both novels make me laugh; each made profits and earnt kudos for their
authors.
