I've just returned from computer & TV blackout in Maine for the past ten 
days to find 325 P-list posts in this in-box, so pardon these upcomming 
tardy responses:

Proportionality is the key here.  Doug's red-herring characterization of 
P-lister denial of GR Holocaust references is typically overblown.  
Pynchon's universe-inclusive art could not escape inclusion of the 
Holocaust.  It might even be called a "central" isssue in the book, but not 
in the literal sense Doug has historically insisted upon.
