I really only RESPONDED (and with a smiley face)  to Frodeaux's criticism
(implied at least). Don't  personally mind all the citations and quotes
from other writers. I think Dave said somewhere earlier he's more
interested in citation and quotation at this particular point in time than
making specific comments and drawing specific conclusions with regard 
to his own feelings about p-text. Or perhaps I only dreamed
this.
