GRGR(34) - New Dope
Can't Wait

Well the 'new dope' certainly isn't death, and it is describable, but
it does have that remarkable quality of seeming to Find you--or to
suddenly presence itself.
I'm no head or anything, although I may as well be because it's as
good as anything on planet earth, in that perpetual absurdity we call
consciousness, but I had the opportunity this weekend to dip my
tongue in some liquid, ahem, lsd. Talk about a screaming comes
across the sky....Being in the zone, you know, for me anyway,
particularities begin to lose their particular qualities, differences
like feeling and thought and reason and matter and love and hate all
begin to be realized as the Same, and coming out from that, out from
that joining, that root of being and nothingness, is a thing, it's
that Thing, it's something that is it's own opposite, it's that
thingness, that thing, it's that thing presencing....only what is
that Thing?
In all seriousness, there is a remarkable affinity between the
psychedelic experience--the gathering of the fourfold into the
nearing presence of the thing--and Heidegger's thought. Don't let
nobody tell you otherwise, cause I know them both as well as anybody
who knows them both. It's interesting about Nietzsche on the
otherhand, because you never really get a sense while tripping that
that Thing is the will to power, although the presencing of that
Thing is quite totally 'beyond good and evil', and there's nothing
better towards a facilitation of Revaluation than finally coming
away--I mean just after the peak--from the thing but it's still
there, still shining, still gathering itself into the clearing.
