Argentine anarchists

There's another possible allusion in Argentine history Pynchon's Argentine 
U-boat drivers in GR are referred to: In Patagonia and Fireland there was a 
strong anarchist movement at the beginning of the 20th century which forced 
the army to intervene and oppress it violently. I don't know much about it 
but I know there was such a movement 80 or 90 years ago.
