poor customer service

  I mourn the loss of Stacy, even though she never posted, but I hope her 
departure registered with some of the more smug self-important contributors 
here as more than a back-of-the-mind kind of "Ha! Can't cut it?"
  I have enjoyed about %40 of what has come off this list.  Unforturnatly 
it's always mixed in with %60 grade-A self-serving hot-air hooey.  There are 
plenty of contributors who's hands I wish I could shake, and many faces I 
wish I could reach out and slap.  There have been some truly good eggs (you 
know who you are) and I'm glad I met them.
  My advice for newbies, especially those frustrated by the windybag 
self-inflated p-list nazis is to Do What I Do!  Scan each digest for 
anything good, then get on with your life.  And once or twice a month lunge 
out of the darkness, like THIS, and remind the bastards (those who are) that 
they are impotent academic whiners who couldn't face the world and do REAL 
WORK, so they live with the fridgid witch Theory and  her snotty fat little 
sister Thesis and dream of killing them both and writing like Steven King.
  and then POOF! dissapear back into the shadows...
