Register A

Hello,

    Somewhere in Lot 49 Pynchon talks about epilepsy etc. and the possibilities of Oedipa's having received revelations she subsequently forgets.  IN the midst of all this he has, as I recall, a one sentence paragraph which consist of the words "Register A."  Does anyone know what this is about?
