Some might wonder why we don't simply all agree to stipulate (as lawyers do
in order to save time and move on) that logocentrism, unity, congruence, the
subject, nature, very nature, origins, etc., etc,  have all been called into
question and that Pynchon is aware of this and revels in it. But after that
could anything further be said?
