Wish I had the time to dig it up... I can't quite remember it, either. Did
meet an old retired doc who cared for him, though, when WCW was in hospital
for colon cancer from which he recovered. (He died of multiple strokes
sometime later). The old guy told me some anecdotes. Williams was an
infamous raconteur. He would often turn over the practice to his son-in-law
in the early afternoon, and disappear until the next day. No one knew,
certainly not his wife, where he was, but everyone knew he was hanging out
with his "other" friends in the village.
Don't know about lit, but medicine sure ain't what it used to be. Hope
those early listers are okay, though. We can only be absolutely sure about
the whereabouts of those, like Brian Stonehill (died in his Jaguar in
1997), who are no longer here.
