Somewhat related, NO, very much related is the abortion
scene in Chapter 12 of V, where the sick crew's crimes are
identified, the cops make arrests, Pig is heroic, Sphere
makes a discovery, and "things are not so amusing."

"How about letting go...aren't your arms getting tired?"

The way out of the cool/crazy flipflop was obviously slow,
frustrating and hard work. Love with your mouth shut, help
without breaking your ass or publicizing it: keep cool, but
care. He might have known, if he'd used any common sense. It
didn't come as a revelation, only something he'd as soon
