 These parallels & allagoricals cannot be
take too far, but both men are miraculously saved at
infancy, free their people from bondage, suffer their
rebellion, and mediate their survival between a vindictive
deity--YHWH, and the SYSTEM--and their own self-destructive
drives. Both lead their people to a promised land and both
are denied the entrance to the promised land.

It's another dialectic Pynchon rejects, Old and New
Testament.
