  Hello everybody,
  I don't want to sound like an ethnocenrist Frenchman, but it seems to me 
twentieth-century literature was written in more than three languages... Or 
did Esquire choose Joyce and Pound and their multilingual works to call it 
quit and quickly forget about it? More languages is greater lit, non?
   Best, and as some p-listers say - back to lurking mode.
