On a more serious note, do you think Pynchon is particularly
rough on German philosophers? His attack on early modern
western philosophy is particularly rough on Leibniz, and his
attack on nineteenth and twentieth-century thought,
particularly those germans that venerated Kant, even as they
sought to go beyond him, is very nasty.
