Andrew Roe drops several authors names (DFW, N. Baker, Nabokov) in his
review of the novel _The Verificationist_ by Donald Antrim (his third
book). He (Roe) also cites "Thomas Pynchon's antic comedy" as a
possible influence:

btw - Started AHWOSG two days ago & found the beginning very DFW-esque.
I think that bookstores are having a difficult time placing this book
into a section -- I've seen it in both "Journalism" & in "Fiction" in
different stores (it is a memoir). Part of the book (at least) is set
in No-Cal. (possible P connection).

Also . . . the newer Penguin ed. of GR is 30% off this month at Borders
stores (at least those near where I live -- and it wouldn't be right
unless I mentioned that I work at one; I am fairly sure this sale is
company wide).

Lurking less than usual,

Jeremy Rice
