NP: Diversionary Tactic

Do you think Mr Pynchon would agree to be a lifeline if I were able to
get on "Who wants to be a Millionaire"?  It might be a little tough to
talk him into at first, but what a great moment that would be for
television, maybe even for him, if, there at the last question, the
million-dollar question, I know the answer but I call him anyway just so
he can say 'hi' to Regis.  I think it would be even better if he was the
family member/significant other/whatever in the audience (he could pose
as my close friend, or, he could maybe become my close friend), and
there would be Regis, chatting him up after every commercial break...I
think it would be a priceless moment.
