Kinda hard to believe that Pynchon chose the name Geli without thinking of 
Geli Raubal. IMHO there aren't nearly as many equal signs in Pynchon as 
there are echoes. 'Skinda like the discussion in GR about astrology: no, not 
one to one correspondences.
