Yes, we've established that. Several times now. Apogee is at apogee, and
at the very apogee of the text Slothrop yells "Hauptstafe!" and launches
himself into public as the Rocket, man. Get it? 

Brenschluss is irrelevant anyway in terms of the parabolic arc traced by
the projectile. Fuel and acceleration and momentum will only provide
height and distance. And human control went out of the equation way back
in the lab (as Frank'n'furter said to Janet, heh heh.) The parabola will
always be the same. Gravity's rainbow. And 380.18 is where it happens,
the peak, the change from ascent to descent.
