My sexual interpretation of "the midget problem" isn't provable but it
does have the virtue of sounding Pynchonian and is fairly funny. The lad
showed early talent for the ribald and politically incorrect. Of
course back then it wasn't politically incorrect yet to make jokes at
the expense of people who are different. rj's interpretation seems
convoluted and forced even by rj standards. Like the pre-war Porsche he
recently invented.

Decided I better use a dictionary for "bank run" rather that trust the old
American ear. According to Webster's Third New International Dictionary
"bank run" is a synonym for "bank gravel" and the meaning is gravel or
sand as found in natural deposits.

Saw "Magnolia" this afternoon. Loved it--even the "terrible" ending.
