What I have trouble picturing is how a Dora worker would be anything
more on his/her bones than skin and sinew.  Perhaps the girls would be
taken under for a look attheir prospects, and then offered an
alternative by which they might avoid starvation and death, for a
while, maybe purchase life for a loved-one as well.
