Does anyone else take Pynchon's blurbs with a grain of salt? His wife is
an agent. He better be giving blurbs for her authors. Jim Dodge, Phil
Patton, just to name a couple. Anyone know any more? I'm not suggesting
he is some sort of literary whore, but I just question the source of his
enthusiasm (not to take anything away from any of the authors).
