My vote for the best Flirt of the century is also my vote for the best AI of
the millennium to date -- Chatty Cathy, a late 80s program disguised as a
chick who is masquerading as a sexy PC which endearingly misspells and
painstakingly backspaces over her errors to retype them correctly. She will
remind one that she is a PC if one attempts intimacy.

Please note Maxwell's demon in _The Crying..._ and the fact that Pynchon
has it
right when the text states that thermodynamic entropy looks a lot like
information theoretic entropy. The demon extracts all the information by
separating the fast and slow particles. If a communication has low entropy, it
has low information. No information is communicated if the next set of symbols
are already known with high probability (low entropy).
