God, can you two go on!  So many names, and so inclusive of genres!  Jenks 
is of my era.  Undergraduate frosh in 1976.  Read an existential 
architectural history text by him (will find) which let us "disciplined" 
PoMo Arch students know about the device of "mannerism," which involved a 
willful breaking of the rules of Classicism.  Our common motto back then was 
"Corbu is Dead."  We were so stupid.
