I agree with you that it's the actions of this insidious criminal element --
the hackers and trolls and virus creators and "culture jamming" mavericks,
sad and lonely people all -- which is more of a menace to the potentialities
for global equity inherent to the escalation of global telecommunications
networks, than corporate advertising, which actually sponsors the whole damn
process to begin with. The cross and the stars and stripes might be more
aesthetically-pleasing than the Nike slash or Golden Arches, granted, but
they're no less of a product logo, the "corporations" they stand for just as
(or more so) indoctrinatory and oppressive.
