Right, I blame the white guys too:  slavery and racism have
operated to impede the sex role socialization of black men
(oh, sorry African-American) and kept them, in many
instances,  from realizing even the most basic aspects of
masculine  privilege and power, namely life-sustaining
employment  and the ability to support a family. 

Black men are only 5% of the US population. How did black
male exaggerations of manhood come to dominate so many white
boys all over the world?
