It's not only the pseudo-offlist posting but the onlist outbursts as well. 
Has anyone checked their regularity with the sun spots or astrological
positionings. Though it's tempting to assign to whole thing to an extended
joke I've made that kind of mistake before. There is a positive aspect. A
now and then break in the day to dayness of it all. Like the mailman's
daily arrival for the dog. It would be death to Fido to deprive him of
these minor pleasures. Efforts to purify the p-list of such things might
be just as lethal. I always say.
