Luz, Byron's sephardic cousin, has been on the fritz of late. Luz is of a
different time, from when each bulb was handcrafted to fit each particular
socket, when the world was still new. Luz never did trust the printers
marks, let alone the ink with which their paper was tattooed. Newsprint
being the worst, even when used to wrap the newly born, or, freshly caught
fish.

Luz knows about Byron's plottings and claims of immortality- knows all about
his paranoia and dreams to illuminate the darkness- to provide a new way of
seeing. She thinks it's all a bunch of Bull. She has not forgotten her
mother, the torch, stuck in a crack of the cave's wall, throwing light on
the freshly painted scene, dreaming of becoming part of the painting.

It fills Luz with pride to know she has fulfilled this dream. There will be
copies, but only one original, with Luz providing enlightenment for the
authentic version. Let Byron imitate himself endlessly with words. He is
only a story. Luz is real. This is her world. Don't even worry (blink) about
that tiny window (blink) in the upper left. (blink) It's way too (blink)
high- too (blink) small. (blink) It's just for decoration (blink.......
