I don't think it would be a violation of ettiquette to reveal that I 
received a very nice note from Mr. Weaver which reminded me - 
again, that it is best to eschew comments of an ad hominem 
nature, regardless of one's possible justifications.

My response to his post of yesterday was uneccessarily nasty, 
and I apologize to him and the list for possibly throttling what might 
have been a decent and mutually beneficial exchange.....
