In the above text “stimulus” is confused with (or equated to) “signal.”  The 
two are very different, aren’t they?   The “Stimulus/Response” model is 
mechanical and mathematical.  “Signal/Response” is a consciousness/organic 
model.  To blur the two is to call AGENCY into question, which GR constantly 
does.

Reception of a SIGNAL comes via a sense-organ.

Interpretation of the signal is GR’s dance floor.

As Slothrop leaves our realm (lucky dog *) his past experience 
(conditioning) progressively loses its pull.  All experience loses its 
grounding and is free to associate with any other.  Time is not sequential.  
Identities morph.  Word meanings reach beyond languages.  All known 
boundaries melt and free bonds are multiplied.

Slothrop escapes Gravity.

Even Impolex G is beyond Their Control.  They have contact only with the 
surface.  Below, who knows?  It is the Realm of Uncertainty.  Is Impolex G 
“responsive” or “interpretive?”  How do erections happen, and can we Control
