Anubis and the Odessey

I have been thinking about the same thing.  We have been on a long journey
w/ Slothrop, and quite a bit of it has been on the water, especially if we
include his rescue to the Wild Frau's powerboat.  I've been noticing the
recurrent use of the word "island" applied to many non-literal descriptions
lately too, which I'm going to try to gather together.
