The hotel at Nordhausen will be the "Sonne". Prices: 65 DM (single
room), 100 DM (double room). Please book the rooms yourself either

in Babelsberg near Berlin, "where there is a movie going on ... a
really documentary and V-2ish film by Robert Bramkamp". The
director will show his documentary strip on the Rocket (with some
20% of Gravity's Rainbow adaptation in it ...).
Late afternoon: Ride to Greifswald near the Baltic Sea. Check-in at
the Hotel am Dom. Single Rooms ~90 DM, double rooms ~120 DM. Again,
please book the rooms yourself by telephone or fax (tel.:

"Pynchon".
Wednesday, 21st of June: "... no ...it was in Greifswald."
Workshop at Greifswald University. General topic: "In the openness
of the zone our hope is limitless" Geography in Gravity's Rainbow.
We welcome participants to read (short) papers. We also welcome
abstracts just to 'be prepared'. Please get in contact with Bruno
Friedrich Arich-Gerz, Luc Herman, or Dirk Vanderbeke.
Thursday, 22nd of June: "Frau Gnahb brings her boat around in a
tight turn, through an inlet, to the dock"
Coach ride to Sellin on the island of Ruegen; boat trip on board
the "MS Marco Polo" from Sellin to Peenemuende harbour.

(approximately) per person.

Informationszentrum). Return to Greifswald by coach.

(optional:)
Friday, 23rd of June: "To Cuxhaven, the summer in deceleration,
floating on to Cuxhaven"
Ride westward, along the sea coast to Cuxhaven and Dorum, the
Operation Backfire site. Then back to Hamburg, next day ride south,
to Frankfurt airport.
Additional fees and costs will include the coach. The expenses for
the vehicle could amount to +/- 400,- DM, depending on the number
of participants. At present, we are negotiating with various coach
agencies for more "stomachable" prices. As an alternative, we might
hire vans, drive ourselves, and save money: +/- 200 deutschmarks
p.p. For travelling comfort, we would prefer the coach, but in case
we are fewer than 20 persons, we will "van-ish". So please make a
binding commitment to us by 15 April.
Recommended deadline for hotel reservations, 30 April; the hotels
will close their lists in May.
