Seems to me Swiftian satire is needed nowadays as much as in the past.
Saw a most enjoyable play about the Dean of St. Patricks in a tiny theater
in now swinging Dublin a couple of years ago. Met one of the actors at
Vespers where he was promoting it. He didn't play the lead but the part of
composer Handel. Too bad he wasn't the fetching lass playing Stella who de
rigour-like in Dublin as in New York and even Washington (Wit) disrobes
(partially) in the final scene.
