Symptoms of The Same Disease

It is not enough to recognize that The Manhattan Project and The Final
Solution are causally linked, i.e., that they share an underlying cause,
that they were (are?) both part of a deeper historical current. Nor is it
sufficient to say that one helped to cause the other, and vice versa, even
though there is some truth to that notion.

Visionaries and Paranoids might suggest that it is the technology itself
which has assumed control: a disembodied self-defining force that has
arranged things, beyond our individual or collective control, for its own
ends.

Yet it is worth acknowledging that Truman dropped Christ on Tojo, and that
the highly efficient regimented death camps had reduced their functioning
to several algorithms, closely linking input, output and the recycling of
waste, in order to purify the race, as well as, to build munitions.

If you doubt this connection, read the records. Take note of the prayers
offered by Truman, or the men crewing the bombers over H&N. Look more
closely at the propaganda used by the Nazis to organize the volk.
Experience first hand the hopes and dreams of those who believed they were
in control.

And look beyond the zero, where...
