How fat IS Slothrop?  Although this might be the hopeful hyperbole of a 
pigless child, there are numerous other GR references to Slothrop's girth.  
I'd never pictured him as fat, but I guess I've got to change my mental 
image of him from a Jimmy Stewart [ http://www.jimmy.org/ ] to a Lou 
Costello [ http://sicilianculture.com/people/costello.htm ].
