Adenoids, Volkswagens

... Seed (The Fictional Labyrinths of Thomas Pynchon) also reminded me that 
the Adolf Hitler character in The Great Dictator was named Adenoid Hynkel.  
Note not only that giant Adenoid i GR, of course, but that, later in the 
novel, Richard M. Zhlubb is described as having an "adenoidal" voice as well 
(sorry, V.-ing now, no GR at hand, for the first time in some time), recall 
that "managerial Volkswagen" of his (and recall upon whose initiative the 
Volkswagen was put into production ...), recall "Sick Dick and the 
Volkswagens" from The Crying of Lot 49, and so forth ...
