A moment of silence

  Just a brief moment of silence for my poor lost hard drive, with it's 
first draft of what was obviously going to be my best fiction to date, all 
10 pages of it...  My lost pynchon-list archives with all there blathering 
idiocy, my self-indulgent journal entries...  My saved games...
  And if you could find it in your hearts, please take a moment to curse the 
Norton Utilities CD that, by obeying it's Dark Lord's will, destroyed all my 
work under the aegis of 'fixing' the master block.  Rest assured that once 
I've had a little more whiskey, and once my eyes are temporarily free of 
tears, that foul CD will meet with a most vicious end in the garage, so 
horrible that Amnesty International will avert it's collective eyes.
