David's point is important. Do you need to know the terms to
participate here? 

Isn't this (the idea that matters of genre are important to
the actual reading of and making of fiction) one of the
targets of TRP's satire? 

Target is  [inside-parody/outside-satire the text] the
making of fictions that stretches a pornographic veneer over
the sins of Western civilization.
