Yes! This is a very important point. Both have man living in a fallen
state, but the Kabbalah makes this state the "original" state, and thus the
responsibility (mistake) of the Creator, an "original" misjudgement. A
flawed God.

The Adam & Eve story blames the fall on a Demon created earlier by God, but,
like Gnosticism, starts with a God who has tied his own hand, or walked away
from Creation after having "legally" given the keys to the kingdom away.
This is credited to God's respect for Free Will of his creations, Lucifer
first and then Adam, but, like Kabbalah, blame eventually goes back to God's
having knowingly created flawed new rulers for His Cosmos.
