When in this world one wants to create the illusion of a great architectural 
sphere (which is a very desirable goal for architects in general) one builds 
a great reflecting pool with an 1/2 spherical dome "floating: above the 
center.  The mirror creates the illusion of the other half, cheaply.  When 
one splits a Sun down the middle with a mirror, the effect is the same: a 
sphere!  The orbiting body is secondary in consideration.
