<< I know this isn't a Gaddis list, but people have been writing a lot of 
messages about him. So, I was wondering which of his novels would be the best 
to read first? I don't care about length or difficulty. >>

I know you say you don't care about length or difficulty; however, 
Recognitions is pretty long and pretty difficult.  I would suggest, as 
someone else did, Frolic of His Own, which is womewhat more accessible, 
wonderful, and very funny.
