Paul asks about Slothrop as a "guide."  I don't believe he or Blicero
are any indication of who or what They are.  Both Slothrop and Blicero
are separate Me-systems in GR.  I agree with Doug in that the
identification with Nazis or Allies do not matter as a part of the
Them-Us-Me systems.  Slothrop and Blicero do not identify themselves
with either Them or Us (neither are aware of the Counterforce - Is the
Counterforce "Us" or another Them or a collection of Me-systems?) and
self-identification does not necessarily mean you've been accepted into
any particular system.  Beyond that the systems themselves are
illusions, just as synthesis, control, justice, freedom, salvation,
redemption, etc. are illusions.  It does not mean that, through
self-identification or through acceptance by whatever system, an
individual cannot make a difference and even add a few brush strokes to
the "big picture."  In addition, the renegades (those identifiable,
either by self or others, as a "Me-system") can be good or evil, but
then this dichotomy is also an illusion.
