Otto, did you READ my last post?  In it I tried to point out, as clearly as 
I could, that Weissman doesn't ever say that he thinks the monks have 
committed blasphemy!  Maybe it's a German grammer-thing that has you tripped 
up here.  Read the sentence again.  Weissman says that:

1. Enzian basphemes.
2. The missionaries "corrupted" Enzian.

This does NOT lead to:

3. The missionaries have blasphemed.

Do you dispute this point?
