Avram Davidson--NP

Reading some short stories by Avram Davidson, an ecclectic sf-mystery writer 
of reknown. though he remains obscure to most, accolades from many in the 
field and beyond is notable.

One story deals with a planet where primitve beings are exterminated for 
sport--they decide to commit racial suicide.

Another has an interesting twist added to the fate of a slave driver.  One 
has the American Dental Association as the possible saviors of the Earth 
from an alien invasion.

One of my favs is about a soldier stationed in china after the war who 
becomes both a powerful god and an imprisoned fish. And one of nost popular 
stories "Or All the Seas With Oysters"--the infamous plan of the inanimate 
--safety pins, hangers, and abandoned bicycles, oh my...(and this is only 
the stuff from the 50s)

most of Davidson's stuff is out of print but for sheer goofiness, and 
strangeness, it's wonderful stuff
