I'm reading, and enjoying, Rupert Sheldrake's new book,  _Dogs That 
Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home And Other Unexplained Powers 
of Animals_. His web site has lots of papers, articles, interviews, 
etc. His work on morphic fields and morphic resonance is fascinating; 
he's one of the scientists (physicists, biologists, & etc.) who in 
recent years have devoted much time and effort to understanding the 
soul in ev'ry stone view of Mother Earth that Pynchon promulgates in 
GR and elsewhere in his writings.
