Last night, I saw Part I & II of "The Decalogue". It was easy to see the
interpretation of the "Thou shalt not have no other God but me..." in the
the first part. However, I'll admit that I'm unsure who broke the second
commandment in Part II, and when they broke it. I might spoil the movie for
you, if you continue reading........

(I thought you would keep reading.) Was it the wife? (As she lied to her
dying husband about her love, when she hoped he would die? In her
self-centered behavior as they acted like she was sacrificing her life? Was
she blaming God for the situation she created?) Was it the doctor? (As he
pronounced her husband's demise when it was uncertain? Was the husband
recovering or declining? Was he dead at the end?)

I think that one's personal interpretation is the only one that really
matters in your life--whether it's a movie, book, or everything really--but
it's enjoyable to discuss your feelings with others. You are some of the
smartest people I don't know, so I thought I'd ask.
