Millison and Seeing the Holocaust EVERYWHERE

Jesus fucking Christ, how difficult is it to take jbor's point? It's
an exceptionally simple excersize in reason, based on a definition,
which jbor opens a post with:

"3. the Holocaust, the genocidal murder of the Jews by the Nazis in
World War II. [Macquarie]"

He then continues with a very simple distinction:

"I emphasised that the prisoners at Dora are labour camp inmates in
response to millison's....surmise that they are Holocaust victims.
They are obviously "slaves" -- they are prisoners, after all -- no
question about that."

He then concludes in very logical manner, wrapping back around to the
definition for extra clarity:

"But this is explicitly *not* "the Holocaust", which denotes "the
genocidal murder of the Jews by the Nazis in WW II"."

Where in this most simple of arguments does one find a denial of the
holocaust? To suggest from this argument that jbor is denying the
holocaust is to suggest that one fails to possess the most
rudimentary of rational skills. One may argue that jbor has his
facts wrong about what occured at Dora, but it would take a most
grotesque form of logic to suggest that, based on this argument, jbor
is denying the holocaust.

What I do find amusing is that on this list, with the Pynchonites, as
hysterical and paranoid as some might get, apart from Pynchon, about
'holocaust deniers', to them denying that the holocaust is the
central element of the Rainbow is every bit as much a sin as denying
the holocaust.

For me, I think Pynchon is far too interesting a person to ever place
something as uninteresting as the holocaust at the base of what he
knew was an historical literary screaming.

In passing, forgive me, but I would just like to ask one question of
Mr. Millison, a question I am sure has been at the back of a lot of
people's minds for a long time:

Doug, have you ever gotten laid?
