Oh, dear ... okay, reading these in reverse order of
arrival here, so ... well, as you know, I know how
that goes.  I just happened to have the time,
incentive and caffeine to go on the berserker spree
that I eventually did in re: Ch. 8, is all. 
Ironically, my initial line on Ch. 8 was that it was
pretty much ignored in favor of the chapters which
bookend it.

But, hey, seeing as there's some interest here, at
least, will at least try to address jbor's reading. 
Lhamon really kicks in, however, on Ch. 14 ("V. in
love"), and there's some interesting stuff on
McClintic Sphere and the Whole Sick Crew as well.  Not
to mention Wittgenstein.  And I think this might
currently be out of print, so ...

Well, when I can, and what seems relevant.  And I've
some other stuff for show 'n' tell here as well.  Just
going to be a few days before I'll have time, is all
... then again, there's a whole list out there, so ...
