BTW, Mr. Morris, sir (me, I'm not one for profanity
and namecalling here), one thing I certainly have
noticed is a certain gang mentality centered around
our pal Mr. jbor there, the way in which, any time our
antipodean interlocutor gets in a little skirmish
here, a certain set of others here will rush in with
quick denunciations of whoever he's having his little
disagreement with, often in not particularly
enlightening, or even sensical, ways.  And you have
often led the pack there, David ...

For example, obviously, there are those who do "care"
about the Tinasky question, else it wouldn't be a
recurring and inevitably emotional (for some, at any
rate, apparently) topic here.  Now, if you don't want
to hear about it, well, you might have done better to
admonish Mr. jbor there, rather than me, to drop the
subject, or to state your objections immediately.  Not
that it necessarily would have changed anything, but
at least it would have been consistent ...

To the extent that you were in any sort of agreement
with me, well, on the one hand, sorry, hard to notice
given my well-founded expectations about how things
usually run here, and, on the other, that's beside the
point.  This isn't--or, at any rate, shouldn't be--a
matter of opposing camps here, a Cold War fought
amongst the most vocal participants (with a vast and
largely silent majority of nonaligned onlookers).  The
Dude was right about "dominance" here, however, and
note that he didn't even have to name names for his
target to know upon whom his Magic Eye was falling ...
 

Now, if you'll pardon me, I've my daily recommended
allowance of bad news to deal with, so ...
