Exactly Dave. It's like the 'Homeric question' where the authorship of
Iliad and Odysseia is being discussed, having as 'byproduct' an enormous
body of knowledge on the subjects discussed; the original questions
becoming irrelevant. Mutatis mutandis, of course.
